Children’s Prayer to Our Lady of Mount Carmel

Carmel’s Great Friend, Our Lady of Mount Carmel, our Mother and Queen, we, your little children, come before you to ask for your maternal intercession, patronage and protection. Help us to understand what we are studying in school. Give us clear minds, good memories, and joyful hearts. Assist us to work hard, to ask the right questions, to avoid greed and misbehavior during examinations and to use what we learn to serve God, you and others.

Bless our parents, guardians and teachers. Give them good health, strength, peace and joy. Reward them for all their sacrifices and keep our families safe under your mantle. Also bless the Apostolate of Our Lady of Mount Carmel and the Brown Scapular and its mission in the Church.

Through the intercession of Blessed Isidore Bakanja, our model of devotion to you, who wore your Scapular even in the midst of suffering and opposition, teach us to be brave, faithful and courageous like him in carrying out our daily duties. And following his example, may we never be ashamed to love Jesus and to wear your Scapular as a sign of your friendship and protection.

Together with St. Joseph, shield and defend us. Make us walk in your footsteps and to be worthy to receive the promises of Christ. And at the end, lead us to heaven. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Pray for us,

St. Joseph, our glorious Father and Protector, Pray for us,

St. Simon Stock, Receiver of the brown scapular, Pray for us,

Blessed Isidore Bakanja, Pray for us,
